Can Denmark win the World Cup 2022 Qatar?

One of the highly underrated teams that are going to play for the ultimate title of winning the World Cup for Denmark. It is a matter of great pride for all the Danes to stand for their country and make history. The Denmark National team looks pretty strong and prepared for the World Cup with a combination of well-experienced players.

World Cup 2022 Qatar OddsDenmark +2800 (10th Position)

The World Cup started in 1930 but Denmark did not qualify for the World Cup until 1986. It is a title no one in the history of Denmark has come close to achieve it. Denmark never qualified for the semi-final and went to the quarter-finals just once in 1998. The hearts of the Danish people desire for their nation to win the title this time in Qatar or if they don’t then give a tough fight to all the teams that will face them.

The team has well-oiled players between the lines along with experienced players such as Eriksen, Kjaer and Schmeichel who have been an integral part of the team in the previous competitions for Denmark. With the right motivation and talent, Denmark can go on to fight for the WC 2022. If Croatia can reach the World Cup final in Russia then Denmark can pull this off.

Denmark National Team Line-Up 2022:

Goalkeeper:

The exceptionally talented and true prodigy of his father Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester) would be the main choice in goal for Denmark. Schmeichel is a player who is filled with passion and has a ton load of experience that would help Denmark in avoiding conceding goals.

Apart from him, the team will also call Daniel Iversen (Preston) and Peter Vindahl Jensen (AZ) for backup. These two players are also decent and talented and are ready to play for their country.

Defence:

It is that one area for Denmark which requires much attention as there are not enough players well experienced that are required against big teams. The main duo in defence is Andreas Christensen, Barcelona and Joachim Andersen, (Crystal Palace) covering the centre-back positions. There are also great options in for Denmark such as Jannik Vestergaard (Leicester), Joakim Maehle (Atalanta), Rasmus Kristensen (Leeds United), Victor Nelsson (Galatasaray), Nicolai Boilesen (FC Copenhagen) and Jens Stryger Larsen (Trabzonspor).

The back line is well equipped but the level of experience and talent a team requires to win the World Cup is missing. It does not mean they can not do it, with the right direction and motivation they can stand against any striker or team that they face.

Midfield:

The heart of Denmark is expected to be back in the line-up after facing a heart injury during an international competition for Denmark. He is the hero of his whole nation and people all around the world love him, he is the one and only Christian Eriksen. The Manchester United player has been a common starter for Denmark since 2010 and has always been very beneficial for his nation. The Danish fans rely hugely on him and other key players to make the difference.

There are other great options available for Denmark such as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Tottenham), Thomas Delaney (Sevilla), Robert Skov (Hoffenheim), Philip Billing (Bournemouth), Daniel Wass (Valencia), Mathias Jensen (Brentford) and Morten Hjulmand (Lecce). All of these players are decent and can collectively manage midfield efficiently.

Attack:

The attacking lineup includes some good attacking players including the well-known FC Barcelona player Martin Braithwaite. Denmark has a good and prolific striker available such as Kasper Dolberg, (Nice), Mikkel Damsgaard (Sampdoria), Yussuf Poulsen (RB Leipzig), Andreas Cornelius (Trabzonspor), Jonas Wind (Wolfsburg) and Andreas Skov Olsen (Club Brugge).

The manager will have to tactically decide which player should play against which side and on which occasions if he wants to get the most out of the strikers available to him.

The Denmark national team has qualified for the World Cup which is a victory in itself for the fans and the completion of step 1. It is now totally on the players, management and fate where they will end up in the World Cup. We hope to see Denmark finish at a higher place this year and the Danish players get the recognition they deserve.

Who is the captain of the Denmark National Team?

The most capped player in the history of Denmark who is Simon Kjaer is the captain of Denmark. While Schmeichel is the vice-captain and Eriksen is the 3rd captain.

When will the final squad of Denmark for World Cup 2022 be announced?

The World Cup will be hosted in November by Qatar in 2022 and the Denmark management will announce the final team a little before that time. Some other players might also be called up depending upon injuries, current form and if the manager wants to try something new.
