Lionel Messi is certainly the greatest player of all time but there is something that even Messi is afraid of. Leo is a complete player and he provides everything the team needs from him, his luck goes out of the window when he plays for Argentina. The Argentine played 4 finals and lost all of them. Messi can win the world but this thing always runs away from him. Let us see the scary history of the Messi and Argentina finals.

Possible World Cup Triumph?
Leo Messi got the chance to lift the biggest trophy of International football but sadly they couldn’t manage to get the winning goal. Argentina played Germany in the final and it went to extra time. Missed chances costed them dearly. Mario Gotze took advantage of the situation and scored a great goal after coming ON from the bench.
Argentina got too close to winning the biggest title available. There can’t be any single Messi fan who didn’t feel terribly sorry for him.
Three Possible Copa America titles:
Argentina reached three finals of Copa America in ( 2007,2015,2016) and lost all of them by a narrow margin. In 2007 they faced Brazil where Argentina faced a huge defeat (3-0). Met Chile twice in 2 years but lost both of these finals on penalties. Leo didn’t score in any of the finals he played in.
Why is this happening?
Some people blame his teammates and some blame the player. Argentina always had a good team with individual stars of different clubs assembled. It could be that their understanding level didn’t match between and they couldn’t place the last piece of the puzzle.

Lionel Messi is blamed every year for not winning anything with his country, he is blamed for disappearing in finals of major competitions. People should understand that Messi is one of the main reasons why Argentina reaches the finals, thrice in the last decade.
God is giving Leo another chance of getting the missing title in his trophy cabinet. After winning Euro with Portugal Cristiano said that this is what was missing all the time, now he’s complete. Can Messi get this missing piece this year? Will Argentina win the Copa America 2021?
