Born in Camas, Seville, Ramos started his initial training with Camas FC when he was 6 years old. After learning about the game and getting familiar with the sport, Ramos went to Sevilla at age 14 and started his pro training. He made his debut for the club and La Liga on 1 February 2004 when he came as a 64th-minute substitute in a 0-1 loss to Deportivo La Coruna.
