The two strikers who are considered ‘Great‘ by their teams have achieved a lot in their respective careers. Although Aguero and Salah did not compete exactly as they reached their prime at different times. It still won’t be wrong to say that these two will go as a legend for the fans of Manchester City and Liverpool. If lifting titles make someone a great player then these two are more than eligible to be considered among the best players of football.

Unfortunately, Aguero had to retire early due to health problems but he still has blessed us with a lot to remember about him.

1: Player Stats

The two players play in very different positions. The ex-Man City player was the main striker for the team in his prime while Salah is someone who plays on the wing being a constant threat to the opposition. Aguero is a player who was good with tight angles and weak foot goals, he would never miss inside the box under normal circumstances.

The G/A stats might be different for both these players as Aguero is 4 years older than Salah and he plays in the pole striking position making him the favourite to eat the cherry off the cake.

Head-to-Head: (Best Season)

 Shots 144 148

2: Titles Won

A player can claim to be the greatest but no one would believe him if he did not win enough titles to prove it. Mo Salah had it more difficult to win titles as he struggled in his career at Chelsea and had to move in AS Roma to train himself more. The comeback of Salah from Serie A has been magical and it was unexpected for him. The player under Klopp managed to win many big titles and is constantly praised as the best player of Liverpool in this decade.

On the other hand, Aguero has been the player who was the most important part behind the great success of Man City in the Premier League. The Argentine has won the Premier League title a total of 5 times which is pretty massive in itself. Pep and Aguero made the Premier League look like a non-top 5 league by winning the league title back to back very easily.

It would be easy to say that Aguero is the clear winner in this category even though he did not win the Champions League because winning the Premier League x5 is a big achievement in itself.

3: International Career

“The Egyptian Messi” represented his country in both the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was shifted to the Egypt national football team on 3rd September 2011. Salah has scored 47 total goals across 82 appearances till now for Egypt. Mo Salah was named the captain of the Egyptian National team in 2019. Whenever Salah is on the pitch for his country he always gives his 100%.

Salah was also Egypt’s leader in the AFCON final. Egypt lost the match on penalties after playing a stunning game. People of Egypt know the amount of passion Salah has for his country and a majority of them will also rate him as the best Egyptian footballer ever. He is a great role model for the people of Egypt and all his fans around the world.

Aguero has fought a lot for Argentina. The player was constantly criticized including all the other team members for not winning anything despite having a good team. All the efforts finally paid off as they won the Copa America 2020. He also won an Olympic medal for Argentina in his youth. Sergio Aguero is very passionate about Argentina and he would also looking forward to supporting his country in future.

In this category, Aguero has to be the winner as he has won more in his international career.

4: Personal Life

Mohammed Salah follows Islam and is a practising Muslim, the player is praised for his lifestyle by millions of Muslims around the world making him one of the most influential Muslim sportspeople of this era. Salah enjoys his life by keeping a good shape, practising his religion, loving his family and scoring goals. The net worth of Mo Salah is expected to be around $90 Million.

Sergio Aguero in his early retirement is enjoying his time as he streams on Twitch making his fans love him more with his humour. Aguero is a man who sings, plays, drinks, plays golf and casually chills with his old friend Leo Messi. All these things don’t define Aguero as he is a precious person and we would require a lot of detailed answers to understand his complete personal life. The net worth of Sergio Aguero is around $80 Million.

5: Individual Honours

The Egyptian King is the clear winner in this category.

Who is the better player?

The two players have very close stats in pretty much every aspect of the game. It would be unfair to point a winner between them as they are the best to brace football in this generation.

Depending upon the comparisons made earlier it would not be wrong to say that Aguero is ahead of Salah at this point but we are pretty sure that Salah will make good use of the 4 extra years that he has left and eventually be the winner in this comparison.
