Top 5 Crazy Moments In Football History:

1: 16 goals by Stephan in 1 match

Shocking! Not even Cristiano Ronaldo or Leo Messi can break this sick record. Stephan Stanis used to play for Racing Club De Lens in 1942 where he scored 16 goals for his club in a single match.

After all these years no player have ever come close to breaking this record.

2: Club & International Match On The Same Day

FC Bayern Munich signed Mark Huges who is also a Welshman and one of the best of that time. In 1988 Euro qualifier Wales had an important fixture with Czechoslovakia and on the same day, Bayern Munich was facing their rivals Borrusia Monchengladbach.

Mark Huges didn’t know that he’s making a historic moment on this day. He played for his country during midday and left directly for his match for Bayern Munich. In footballs long history he may be one of the only players to achieve this feat.

The player went on to be a Manchester United legend too by the end of his career.

3: 149 own goals in 1 match

Yes, that is possible. In Madagascar Stade Olympique de L’Emyrne players protested in a unique way after controversial refereeing. The players decided to score their own goals rather than turning things around. The biggest highlight is that they didn’t stop after 5-10 goals but kept it going till the 149 goal mark.

Stade Olympique de L’Emyrne lost 149-0 which is also the record for the highest defeat in football history. Eventually, some players along with the manager were banned by the Madagascar Football Federation.

4: Football Originated from China

It might be shocking for many people but our beloved sport was first played in China in 476 BC. It was not called football back then but the locals used to call it ‘Cuju’.

The ironic thing about this fact is that China did not succeed in making their own football domination even after creating this sport in their land.

5: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Champions League Curse

In football history, there are very few players who played for as many clubs as Zlatan did. The worst part is that he never won the Champions League in his career while whichever team he played for won it in the next years or previous years.
