Pablo Martín Gavi Vs Jude Bellingham? Who is a better player?

Excellence is what takes people to places. Reaching that position is something that everyone can’t achieve and the ones who reach that level are the ones who strive to become the better version of themselves day-by-day. This level of dedication is noticed to be an important factor in the development of any successful football player.

The two football players that we will be talking about in this article are the two young prodigies who are expected to become a pillar in the success of their respective clubs in the future and also establish themselves as one of the greatest in the industry.

Gavi, the young Central midfielder who plays for the La Liga side Barcelona and is just 19 years old, has earned his spot as one of the most successful young players. Having a blasting youth career at Real Betis he was signed by Barcelona and the player has never disappointed his club and fans to date.

Winning various trophies and also won plenty of individual honours at this age this player deserves all the respect that he has. Also having a good international record with the Spanish National team he has performed satisfactorily and was also named for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Spanish squad.

Jude Bellingham currently plays for Real Madrid and is having a great time at this new club. He started playing football at a very small age and developed himself into a prolific goal scorer. Starting his journey with Birmingham City when he was just 8 years old this player has a different passion for this sport and this has helped him get signed by the world-famous and dream club for many, Real Madrid. He also plays for his country England. Jud has exceptional ball control and technical qualities he is undoubtedly counted among the best.

It would be interesting to compare both of these players based on how they have performed so far in their respective careers.

1: Player Stats

Gavi started his career at La Liara Balompie which is his hometown club where he spent his two years developing his gameplay in the initial days and knowing more about the sport. After this stage of his life, he joined Real Betis as a midfielder and he scored 95 goals for the youth team and became one of the most important players of the youth team and emerged a successful young player as well.

In 2015 when he was just 11 years old he signed for Barcelona and made his debut for the junior team in 2021 where he came on as a substitute in the 77th minute and won his first match by a dominating score of 6-0.

After being observed performing consistently well and proving himself as an important team element, he was promoted to the senior squad and has been performing consistently since the day he joined. His first goal for the senior squad was against Elche in a 3-2 home win where he also provided an assist and was appreciated for his performance.

In January 2023 he started the season on a very high note, scoring a goal and providing two crucial assists to win the match by 3-1 over Real Madrid eventually becoming the Man of the Match in the Supercopa de España Finals.

On the other hand, Bellingham has been exceptionally well from the very start of his career when he joined Birmingham City as an under-8. He was 15 year old when he made his debut for the under-23 team in 2018. Being an achiever from the start he was also featured in FourFourTwo’s list of top 50 most exciting English teenagers in football. In 2019 he was part of the first team and he also became Birmingham City’s youngest player to start the EFL Cup.

In 2020 there were rumours out and people started believing that Bellingham would leave the club it was reported that he was also in talks with some major clubs like Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund. After his transfer to Dortmund, he also became the most expensive 17-year-old player in history as the fee was expected to be £25 million. Started his journey with Dortmund extraordinarily, he scored a crucial goal after half an hour and became the youngest goal scorer of the club in the DFB Pokal.

Birmingham City loved Jude so much that they retired the number 22 shirt from their club in memory of Jude. It is a rare sight for a club to retire a shirt for a player who is just 17 years old.

Comparing the two players from their best seasons. We will be considering the 2022-23 season as both players had performed the best in their careers and have maintained good stats as well.

Considering these stats as the best performances of their respective careers it is very much clear that Bellingham is clearly a better player than Gavi as he has played fewer matches as compared to Gavi but the amount of goals and assists is more than that of Gavi. So it is evident that Jude Bellingham is a clear winner of the category.

2: Titles

Any player is incomplete without his team’s achievements. Taking this category into consideration we must take a look at how much both players have won with the team. Barcelona has Gavi and Real Madrid has Bellingham. 3: Individual Honors

A comparison is always incomplete without the individual honours that the players have earned. However, winning honours cannot be considered as a superiority in the spot but can be taken into consideration as a mark of dedication and proving their worth for the team.

Bellingham outshines Gavi in this category. He is a clear winner with a total of 16 individual trophies in his name while Gavi has only 5 individual trophies. No matter what happens in the future, looking at the achievements till now, Gavi needs to work hard and win a lot to equal Bellingham’s individual honours.

4: International Stats

Gavi got his first opportunity to do something for the national football team at the under-15 and under-16 levels for the first time. Surprisingly being called for the national team in 2021 he made his debut in the UEFA Nations League semi-final against Italy. He became the youngest player to represent the nation at senior level. He proved himself as a very dedicated and hard-working player because of his exceptional performance. He scored his first senior goal in the Nations League against the Czech Republic and became the youngest player to ever score representing Spain at the senior level.

Eligible to play for England and Ireland as well so he decided to play for his native country England and made his under-15 debut in 2016. Performing well on all stages he also made an appearance for the England under 16 team under 17 squad for the Syrenka Cup in 2019. He was also named the captain in the 2020 European championship qualifiers and played a major role in England’s victory over Poland. He was also named as the player of the tournament.

Assists– – 3

In the international category, we can clearly see that the players have played almost the same amount of matches and there’s no huge difference. Gavi has netted the ball more than Bellingham but he has not provided a single assist throughout his international career while the latter has provided 3 assists as well. So it is difficult to consider any player superior to anyone but this is a comparison so Bellingham turns out to be slightly better than Gavi in this category because he has also provided assists which is an important part of a midfielder’s role.

One big international achievement can make the whole difference for these two players.

5: Personal Life

The young Spanish footballer has been performing with immense dedication and astonishing gameplay which has impressed a lot of Spanish and football fans worldwide. With so much success and popularity many questions arise about one’s personal life and many other topics as well. Not much about Gavi’s personal life is known but he is a very dedicated and hard-working player who is currently focused completely on his career. He is not committed to anyone and is currently single. His net worth is estimated to be around 4 million dollars. However, his handsome looks and lovable personality attract a lot of girls and he is surely a charming person.

Bellingham has been a very obedient and lovable person since his childhood. Growing along with his brother Jobe Bellingham, he was seen by many as a promising boy. His father was also a football player so this is how we got into the sport and developed our interest. He grew up in a very supportive family and had no financial problems. His net worth is expected to be around 5 million dollars. Being a very young lady has achieved a lot till now and has a hefty career left for him. Talking about his personal life he is a big-time car lover and has been spotted in many lavish and expensive cars like Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Continental GT.

Gavi or Jude Bellingham? Who is the better player?

We have briefly seen the timelines of both the players and have compared them based on different categories. After going through all the results we can see that Jude Bellingham is slightly better than Gavi. However, both players are very young right now and have a very long career left to prove themselves and achieve.

The best part of their story is that the paths of both these players will cross many times since they play for the biggest rivals in the world. Gavi may have more titles at this moment considering he has been with Barcelona for more than 2 years compared to Jude who has just moved to Real Madrid.

It will be exciting to see which player will excel more in their career in the future. As of now, Jude Bellingham is ahead of Gavi and the struggle for dominance will continue.
