Is Man City Prepared To Sign Harry Kane after Tottenham defeat?

Manchester City lost their opening day match against Tottenham away from their home. Certainly, the new signings did not help them bag a win.

The leading goalscorer of Man City got injured in the first match with a shoulder injury, Gundogan was the highest goalscorer for City and now he will miss future matches.

Man City are in dire need of a striker. The signing of Grealish won’t help them in front of the goal.

Their long time target Harry Kane is still ready to play for the Blues and he’s waiting for City to bid on him. The fans of City understand that their team relies a lot on midfield players with not a single striker, the team has Gabriel Jesus but Guardiola does not prefer to play him in the Centre Forward’s position as he has a squad filled with talented midfielders.

The best striker for City in the last decade was Sergio Aguero and now he’s gone. The team will again make an offer to Tottenham for Kane but this can only happen if Daniel Levy allows this transfer. The club president is persistent in forcing the player to play for Spurs and play for his club at least for the next three years.

Pep Guardiola admits Sunday’s defeat and he understands that there were many missed opportunities by his players. The City squad didn’t turn up and Son got the only goal of the game.

Guardiola said:

“We started really well. We had problems in some transitions and we weren’t good enough”.

“We conceded due to loose balls. In general, the intention to create chances we did much more but unfortunately, we were not good enough to finish them and we lose the game”.

Tottenham made City taste defeat yet again in their new home. Man City never won in the new Tottenham stadium, they played four times and didn’t manage to get a single goal in any of their duels.

The Premier League defending Champions are confident and want to learn from their mistakes and look forward to the long season ahead. Guardiola, “There are 37 more games. It is a long season ahead. We try to correct some things then after that we are going to come back with our best.”

It’s easy to say that Manchester City will try to sign Harry Kane and as he is the perfect replacement for Aguero in City. Kane understands Premier League and is an England national, he will get first preference wherever he decides to play. The two parties are already holding hands but they are afraid to express their feelings as there are people who won’t let them unite.

Tottenham should brace themselves for a Harry Kane move as the transfer rumours are heating up too quickly.
