Inter sign Dzeko to replace Lukaku | Zapata Next | Martinez transfer
Inter Milan lost their best striker to Chelsea in the transfer market of 2021. The absence of Lukaku will result in Inter missing the number of goals in Serie A and eventually the league title.
The club has decided to make their striker force stable by signing Edin Dzeko from AS Roma. The Bosnian is a well-experienced striker and people know the skills he possesses, the player will love to play for Inter.

Inter sign Dzeko at a cheap price, it is expected around €1.5M in transfer fee. The player will earn €6M in wages in Inter and he will play most of their matches in Serie A. The previous season Roma labelled €15M for Dzeko and now they will get him for a fraction of that amount.
Lautaro Martinez is rumoured to sign for Tottenham or Arsenal. The club denies these transfer rumours and wants Martinez to stay with them. The signing of Dzeko is to fill the gap of Lukaku and not replace Martinez.

Inter is also interested in the Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata and are expected to make an offer after completing the Dzeko deal. Zapata will cost Inter around €40M which is a little expensive considering the club is financially suffering.
Both the expected new signings of Inter are old and the amount of young talent is less in their squad. Dzeko is 35 and he can play for two more years comfortably while Zapata is 30 and provide his services for the next 4-5 years at best.
Inter Milan needs to invest in young talents and think about the future of their club. Martinez (23) is the only young talented striker in their squad.

Jose Mourinho plans to buy Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad and replace him with Dzeko. The price of Isak is too high as the other party is not interested in selling him.
Roma is expected to make an offer of €40M plus bonuses for Isak. The player displayed a great performance in Euro 2020 for his country.

According to some rumours Inter plan to sell Martinez for a good price by the end of this transfer window. It’s also said that Zapata is a replacement for Martinez and the club is keeping the transfer discrete as it may increase questions on the club’s management.
Selling Martinez will be a bad decision for Inter Milan. The club needs to take risks if they want to lift a Scudetto again in future.
