Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne injured | Ronaldo's Portugal out of Euro 2020

Portugal – the title defending champions are knocked out by Belgium in a very narrow win. Portugal tried their best to score till the final whistle, but sadly they couldn’t manage many shots to the goal as the Belgium defence was up to mark. The second half was full of attacks but with little luck, for Portugal, because the Belgiums were more interested in defending rather than attacking and they did it quite well and got the victory. Thorgan Hazard scored the match-winner and the only shot of Belgium in their whole 90 mins.

Cristiano Ronaldo the Portuguese Captain tried his best but couldn’t find the back of the net. Portugal manager thinks that the result is unfair but he further says that it’s football and we have to deal with it. Cristiano scored 5 goals for his country earlier and he didn’t score one today but that doesn’t make him a bad player or a bad captain, he stood by his team throughout the match and tried the best of his ability but no luck.

It could be Cristiano’s last Portugal match in the Euro’s as he will be 39 till the next Euro competition. The way Cristiano threw his armband somehow shows that this might be the last match.

Don’t despair King. No matter if you win, lose or tie the fans will never stop loving you. A man who has won it all shouldn’t be sad in such a situation. Cristiano didn’t lose the Euro but the Euro lost Cristiano. Ronaldo was seen crying in the dressing room after the match as for some people these things matter the most.

Belgium is through to the next rounds but tensions arise as they might face some problems in their next match as Kevin De Bruyne and Eden hazard got injured during the match with Portugal. We all know how important these two players are for their country and their absence will be experienced. Eden Hazard said this after the match

Eden Hazard:

“I don’t know what I have. We’ll see tomorrow. We’ll see how long I’ll be out for. I felt something minor in the hamstrings.”

No word on Kevin situation as of now but it looks like Hazard will possibly miss the next match of Portugal.

Today marks the 30th birthday of Kevin De Bruyne and clearly, this day couldn’t get better for him. Kevin is clearly one of the best midfielders of this generation and has the vision, agility and strength like no other. We hope to see more of him in future for his club and country. Happy Birthday Kevin.
